Product Review: Samsung Galaxy Mini 2

A very stylish – Yet very affordable Anrdroid phone. The Samsung Galaxy Mini, available for just about €200 features a very smooth Android experience. I must say that the 800mhz Qualcomm CPU is a bit sluggish for powerful and detailed games. In order to play games such as Temple Run, I had to close all applications and hope that I don’t recieve any messages or emails.

Battery life is not bad either, considering the load of games and load intensive applications I was throwing at it during the review period.

Camera- Nothing spectacular, a normal 3MP camera which can be used for daily ‘not so defined’ photos. I was quite disappointed that it does not feature a flash, I find it a very useful tool on my phone, both for camera reasons and flashlight reasons.

Functionality – Wi-Fi , EDGE, Bluetooth and GPRS. It is a good phone for browsing the internet, sending and reading emails, Facebook, twitter and all stuff. The phone is also equipped with GPS which also means that you can install navigation applications for your car or your daily trips.

Design – Stylish, Handy yet small. I consider it to be a “ladies phone” with good value for money. My girlfriend loved this phone so much that she is now considering purchasing one for herself! A phone which is not as bulky as a woman would desire, however powerful enough to carry out tasks well as other powerful android phones. Being small doesn’t mean not practical – the 3.27 inch screen is not too small, the QWERTY keyboard fits quite well on the screen.
