Sony pictures released the teaser trailer for upcoming 2010 movie “The Social Network,” otherwise known as “the Facebook movie”. This is the story of young Internet phenomenon Mark Zuckerberg’s controversial rise to riches and fame as the leader of the social networking website Facebook.
Directed by David Fincher, this movie is all about the founding of Facebook and its phenomenon. The film features an ensemble cast which consists of Jesse Eisenberg, Brenda Song, Justin Timberlake, Andrew Garfield, Rooney Mara and Armie Hammer. The film was written by Aaron Sorkin and adapted from Ben Mezrich’s 2009 book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding Of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal.
None of the Facebook staff, including founder Mark Zuckerberg, will be involved with the project. One of the co-founders, Eduardo Saverin, was a consultant for Mezrich’s book.
According to The Telegraph, Zuckerberg is said to be upset about his portrayal in the movie as a “disloyal, money-grabbing computer nerd, turning on his friends to improve his popularity with women.”
How popular this movie is going to be? Who knows…? All we know so far is that the social media world is greatly interested in it and this movie is featured in all top blogs around the world.
